obama-4*411xx“…Warn them and show them the ways of the king who shall reign over them.” 1 Samuel 8:9

Attempting to defend the practice of snooping into our private phone calls President Obama said; “When it comes to telephone calls nobody is listening to your telephone calls. That’s not what this program is about.”

Sure, Mr. President. Why should we believe anything Obama says after his administration put forth “demonstrably false talking points” (1) on Benghazi and “purposely misled us” on the IRS scandal? (2)

You’re not buying the story rouge agents targeted conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status, are you? Come on!

The president pronounced the war was over, yet feels it imperative for his agents peruse through our ‘papers, and effects’ in an effort to sift out more jihadi’s. Is the war on or off, Mr. President?

The Israeli’s thought they knew what was best and demanded that the prophet Samuel ‘make us a king‘ (1 Samuel 8:5). God gave them exactly what they asked for, resulting in great harm being done to the nation.

But before granting their selfish request, God ordered Samuel to tell the people the type of person who would be ruling over them. Note the number of times the word “he will take” occurs throughout our story (v. 11, 13, 14, 15,16 and 17).saul__annointed

President George Washington warned that; “Government is not reason; it is not eloquence; it is force! Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.

The ancient Israeli’s and present day Americans have found their government does nothing but take – rarely, if ever, giving anything in return.

Israel learned quickly just how oppressive government can be apart from God (1 Samuel 8:7, 19-20), but by this time it was too late. When they cried out for relief, God didn’t immediately rush in and save them (1 Samuel 8:17, Proverbs 1:28-29, Micah 3:4). Instead, he allowed them to live in the mess they created until David came on scene  (Galatians 6:7-8).

Saul started out fantastic, humble and feeling unqualified for the job (1 Samuel 9:21, 10:21-23, 15:17), but his reign ended in disgrace (1 Samuel 15:26-28, 2 Samuel 1).

Obama also came on the scene promising to bring people and parties together, vowing to be transparent.

We now know these were lies, just like the others now coming to light. Like Saul, we’ve  seen a sinister side of our president come to fruition after he dispatched his followers to “punish our enemies” during the 2010 campaign (1 Samuel 18:9-11, 17, 21; 1 Samuel 19:10-11; 20:3).

America needs people who understand the ‘political times, the public affairs and the temper of the nation and the tendencies of the present events.’ (3, 1 Kings 12:32).

By no means am I placing myself on the same plane as these great men, but here’s what I see from my vantage point:

The 1st, 2nd and 4th Amendments are under tremendous assault right now, while a huge number of high ranking military officers are being forced from their positions (for whatever reason is given).

We’re being told the current scandals are preventing Obama from governing. Are they? Or are they being used as a diversion by some while our rights are being stripped away behind the scenes?

Keep your eyes on the scandals, but at the same time scan the whole playing field. This is not the country our Founders gave us – the one many of us were born in.

All this leads me to believe the Obama administration is ‘engaged in a long train of abuses and usurpations…designed to reduce (us) under absolute despotism.'(4)

The wisdom and actions of godly Americans is needed immediately to stop these attacks before it’s too late.

I’m on board! Obama’s hole keeps enlarging as he and his administration attempt to cover up one after another miscue. Obama came into office with no experience, no knowledge of foreign affairs–just an agenda to turn this country left. Right now he seems to be turning in circles and taking our liberties with him.
