Andrew-Jackson-What’s taking place in America at the moment, to quote Andrew Jackson; “…is unauthorized by the Constitution, subversive to the rights of the States, and dangerous to the liberties of the people…” (1)

Beginning with the president and working its way down to major cities across the country, the rule of law and right to due process is being maliciously destroyed before our eyes. Let me provide some examples:

President Obama thinks he can pick and choose which laws to enforce, however, the Constitution grants him no such authority.

We’re being told the Justice Department used tax money to initiate protests against George Zimmerman.  http://pjmedia.com/tatler/2013/07/10/newly-released-documents-detail-the-department-of-justices-role-in-organizing-trayvon-martin-protests/ (2)

Race-huckster Russell Simmons is making veiled threats should George Zimmerman be found not guilty. http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noelsheppard/2013/07/09/russell-simmons-whether-guilty-or-innocent-zimmerman-will-ultimately- (3)

California Governor Jerry Brown and Attorney General Kamala D. Harris are deliberately ignoring the state’s Constitution, and under orders from Brown the state registrar has started issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples. (4)

US District Judge David Lawson ruled that a Michigan law ‘prohibiting public employers from offering benefits to employee’s involved in same-sex relationships was unconstitutional.’ (5)

US District Judge William Conley issued a temporary restraining order ‘blocking enforcement of Wisconsin’s law that barrs doctors who lack admitting privileges at nearby hospitals from performing abortions.’ (6)

Congress passes laws (like health care) in the wee hours of the morning against the wishes of the majority of Americans.

Harry Reid is moving to change things in the Senate by trying to silence the voice of the minority party, claiming things are broken. (7)

Pennsylvania’s Attorney General is refusing to defend the state’s marriage law based on her personal beliefs. (8)

City officials in Detroit and Pontiac, Michigan are misleading the public about their obligations to fund pension and health care benefits to retirees, and in Detroit these meetings are being held behind closed doors.

Radio host and Constitutional scholar Mark Levin say’s the US Supreme Court created a new right under the 5th Amendment when they struck down DOMA. (9)

Levin also said that instead of upholding the rule of law, judges are promoting their agenda and seizing power not rightfully theirs.

What we’re seeing is a president bullying the public to get his way and in the process he’s intentionally dividing the country. He’s been joined by a small group of Leftist’s who think it’s their job to tell us how to live.

During Andrew Jackson’s term as president, the Supreme Court rendered an opinion in a case on what remedies he was to take. Jackson replied; The Chief Justice has made his decision: now let him enforce it.” (emphasis added)  (10)

“Old Hickory” believed when justices exceeded their constitutional authority he had the right to tell them to ‘bag it’ – and he did.

Tradition also tells us that he was involved in three duels during his lifetime, one ofpistols4 which was with Charles Dickinson after he accused Jackson of failing to make good on a bet and for ‘besmeerching’ the reputation of his beloved wife, Rachel.

Although wounded by Dickinson’s shot, Jackson returned fire and killed him. In that era, dueling was steeply entrenched throughout the South.

While I don’t condone pistols to settle problems, the point is, Jackson was no one to mess with.

By the way, due to the influence of his lovely wife, Jackson became avery strong Christian in the latter part of  his life.

Jackson’s style of bold leadership is missing from the national landscape today. He understood the Constitution, along with the separation of powers, and wasn’t the least bit fearful of telling the court where they could go when they overstepped their boundaries – and neither should we.

Currently, we have politicians concerned for their political careers, always jockeying for more power, advancing the will of party over the people, and constantly looking at polls rather than upholding the Constitution and rule of law.

  1. Mike Howard Says:

There is bold leadership in Washington, it is all coming from the democratic leadership including the president. What they are doing is not constitutional or proper in our eyes, you have to admit it is bold.
