Jehoshaphat was wise to call Israel to prayer, asking the Lord for assistance. Why did the writer mention littles one and children? Some surmise it was because the next generation would bear the brunt of the consequences for sins committed by previous ones.

What about you? Don’t you care about the legacy you’re leaving those kids and grandkids you love so dearly? Do you care enough to take time on Thursday May 1 to pray? Throughout America’s glorious history we have a record of the times when our leaders “called on the name of the Lord.”

Jacob Duche led the first Continental Congress in prayer. Washington was a man of prayer whose voice was heard resonating throughout the snow-covered forests of Valley Forge. Franklin called for prayer at the Convention when the nation was about to disintegrate. Lincoln had no where else to go but to his knees.

A Marine veteran told me chaplains stood by the doors of the landing crafts praying as American troops stormed the beaches at Normandy.1yilZ.SlMa.80 This is a far cry from what’s being promoted by the Obama administration today. An administration that detests our hertiage, shows hostility towards Christianity and hatred for Israel.

At certain points in Israel’s history scripture say’s God was hot with them (Judges 10:7), as I’m sure He is with the US today because of the policies being promoted by this President.

Do you think it’s coincidence storms devastated the south after Secretary of State John Kerry made threats towards Israel? I don’t.

This administration is doing everything to obstruct the peace process. Christ said what comes out of the mouth originates from a man’s heart. Obama butts his nose into everything else and will have much to say on the Donald Sterling fiasco, but he’ll remain silent on what Kerry said because he supports it. After all, Kerry is going around the world doing his bidding. Even though Kerry has backtracked from his earlier statement, his words will be echoed throughout the world by every leftist and radical jihadist. (1)

This issue alone should drive the church to it knees on Thursday, begging God for mercy and asking Him to change the direction of the administration (Proverbs 21:1). american-troops-on-omaha-beach-during-d-day-invasion-of-normandy

George Washington said it is impossible to rightly govern without God and the Bible. The problem in DC is that many have rejected the truth of God’s Word and they cannot govern effectively.

Only men and women who know the truth of God’s Word can do this.

Very well said, Steve. Not only through the day Thursday should we lift our hearts to Him, but gathering as a church Thursday evening is truly a must.

  2. Dottie Musser Says:

Very professional looking thing you’ve got going on, Steve. Keep up telling the truth!

  3. Deborah Homeister Says:

As churches around America gathered to pray, how many of them sounded like this:

We ‘pat’ each other and ourselves on the back for gathering one day a year to spend a few minutes praying over several categories.

    GOD – is – NOT – impressed.
