“Posterity! You will never know how much it cost the present Generation to preserve your Freedom! I hope you will make good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in Heaven, that I ever took half the Pains to preserve it.” John Adams (1)

I was involved in a number of man hunts during my police career, but never have I seen a city shuttered over one man like we saw in Boston.

Horrific as it was, the bombing was another in an ever-increasing number of attacks on us since our leadership turned from God. What’s really chilling is the abuse of power that followed days later.

On April 19, 1775 the people of Lexington and Concord fought, and subsequently drove the British back to Boston in total disarray after an attempt was made to confiscate guns and ammunition. The colonists inflicted over 250 casualties on the Redcoats and the war was on.

238 years later, to the day, it was evident many people in Boston forgot the cost paid by their forefathers. Many of men on the Green died within 15 minutes in 1775, yet the modern-day residents of Boston surrendered their liberties almost instantly. (2)OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

As I said in an earlier post, the police get the job done in a majority of cases. There are millions of fine, professional police officers throughout America who love and respect the Declaration, Constitution, The Bill of Rights, and the citizens they serve. I was fortunate to serve with many of them.

Dangerous men flee from the police every day. Why did this case merit such a knee-jerk reaction? An active foot pursuit, or what the court calls an “exigent circumstance” was non-existent. Was it necessary to enter homes of law-abiding citizens? Should they have asked home owners to check their own homes instead? In the end, it was a citizen who spotted the bad boy that lead to his capture. (3)

Our government is becoming more and more oppressive, in the name of safety of course. They continue covering up the Fast and Furious scandal, are threatening survivors of Benghazi while lying to us (4), and worry more about the rights of our enemies than preserving ours.

Jefferson said; “When the people fear the government there is tyranny, but when the government fears the people there is liberty.” Where do you think we stand tonight?

THIS is the history that needs to be taught in our schools. Christians need to awaken and see what lies ahead if we continue with our “heads in the sand”. I urge all young parents to teach their children the history of this great country at home if they are not getting it in the school. It may be”them” who will have to defend the freedoms, if not US. Read and learn of th “Miracles” that God gave to George Washington and others who fought in the name of Jesus against tyranny.

I agree with Kinda that we, as parents and grandparents, must teach our children and grandchildren the true history of this country. As a fifth grade teacher for some eight years before retirement, the social studies program was American history through the Civil War. My students were very into the history of this country and what it cost those who so diligently gave their all to establish this United States of America. It was truly my heart’s desire to teach these young minds the truth of the founding of our country.

Is anybody who has been asleep, waking up now? Does anybody who didn’t care, care now? Is anybody who hasn’t been repenting, repenting now?

Forgive me LORD, for being discouraged. Help us (me) to keep ‘fighting the good fight’, even when it would appear nobody is listening. YOU are; and that should be all that really matters to me. Help me Holy Spirit, to live what I say I believe -regardless of what others do……….and thank-YOU for the ‘few good men’ who are awake, do care, have repented and do carry on to fight another day.
    In Jesus’ Name.
