Predictably, the opposition interrupted him because they’re out to silence anyone who disagrees with them. The tactics they employ are also outdated and tiresome.

LaPierre said, “The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.” (1) A thug, in many cases, only fears harm to himself when carrying out criminal acts.

However, did you know a number of “active shooter” incidents have been thwarted by unarmed people? While I don’t recommend this, I’ll give you three instances: A principal at an elementary school in Colorado, parishioners in an Illinois church, and a maintenance man in Washington DC all acted quickly and prevented others from being harmed.

Think back with me for a moment. The Obama Administration botched Fast and Furious resulting in the death of a Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, and then again in Benghazi, costing four more lives. We still don’t know how many more of our people were injured in that attack, either. Secretary of State Clinton is nowhere to be found, claiming to be ill, in order  to avoid testifying before Congress on her role in this. Oh sure, she say’s she’ll testify, when she’s ready, and after she’s had an opportunity to get her story straight.

Secondly, the Center for American Progress weighed in on gun control, offering their two cents for taking firearms out of the hands of peaceful Americans. Many affiliated with this organization have close ties to the Clinton’s – both long time proponents of gun control.

It is evident some in government and at the CAP want to control the lives of law-abiding Americans, holding us responsible for something we had nothing to do with in Newtown.

Those in Washington who are speaking the loudest and working diligently to diminish our rights, have been unable to control their families, or their own personal lives, and yet want to tell decent Americans how to live. This double-standard is irritating and makes one feel more like a subject than a citizen.

They are determined to punish law-abiding citizens for the acts of a few cowards, which is also a ruse, because the real intent is to disarm you and take away a fundamental, individual right. Why would we believe anything they say after they have repeatedly lied to us?

Let’s go back to Joe Biden for a minute. Do you want him, after acting in concert with Kennedy and Leahey to destroy Judge Bork, to have any say regarding your fundamental rights?

Thomas-Jefferson-9353715-1-402Thomas Jefferson said; “On every question of construction (of the Constitution), carry ourselves back to the time when the Constitution was adopted, recollect the spirit manifested in the debates, and instead of trying what meaning may be squeezed out of the text, or invented against it, conform to the probable one in which it was passed.” (2)

John Adams said that “Rights…cannot be repealed or restrained by human laws, Rights [are] derived from the Great Legislator of the universe.” (3)

Always go back to what the Founders said. In this case, no law or executive order trumps the Bill of Rights. You need to know this while at the same time educating yourself more in this area.John_Adams

There are more statements from the Founders on this, but I’ll leave it for another time.

When we’ve had public schools for as long as we have, and the government and left wing establishment has had decades to infiltrate the minds of our children, we are very far behind in re-educating them to understand the basic rights that have been endowed to them by our Creator. Without our children knowing this, they won’t understand if any of them have been or are being taken away from them.

We need to bring back to life some of our Founding Fathers to lead this nation!! There are enough Dems in the Senate and House that are pro-gun, and if they will do what is right and not worry about reelection for once, together with Republicans (who need to get their act together!) there could be a stop to these Executive Orders.
