I’m disappointed Israel didn’t finish the job by sending ground troops into Gaza. Many Israeli’s are reportedly upset at this, too (1).

In order to end this threat they needed to cut off the snake’s head, and because they didn’t, this latest truce will be (as we all know) temporary.

Israel inflicted a crushing blow, and rightfully so, to Hamas. Behind the scene reports are that, prior to the arrival of Hillary, the ‘militant wing of Hamas’ was crying for an end to the conflict they started. By the way, don’t get sucked up into believing that because of her role in this instance that Clinton deserves a pass on Benghazi. She doesn’t, and still needs to answer for it before Congress.

Genesis is a book of ‘firsts‘, and in Genesis 3:15 we have the “first promise of the Redeemer.” (2) This verse prophesies Christ’s victories over Satan (where He delivered the fatal blow at Calvary), but it is also the “long-continued struggle between good and evil” that will take place until Christ ends it, once and for all. (3)

Throughout scripture Satan used people like Haman with the intention of “destroy[ing] all the Jews” (Esther 3:6). (4) (Check out these instances, but keep in mind his real focus was to destroy the line leading to birth of Christ; Exodus 1:16, 1 Samuel 18:9-11, 19:9-18, 20:3 and 2 Kings 11:1-3).

Speaking of Haman, did you know when you drop the “n” in his name and add an “s” you get, HAMAS? Interesting fun fact, isn’t it? Hamas, Iran’s puppet, will break this fragile truce because neither is unable to contain their hatred for Israel over the long haul.

Although our secretary of state credits Egypt with helping bring about calm, don’t forget Morsi belongs to the Muslim Brotherhood and that Egypt is no friend of Israel’s. Never has been and never will be (Exodus 1:13-15). Mubarak, as bad as he was, kept a lid on things mainly because we gave him money to do it, but apart from that, I surmise he never had much use for them.

The fact that our country currently gives billions in aid to a government whose president, a hard-line Islamic extremist, is closely aligned with a party seeking to wipe Israel out, doesn’t put us in good position (2 Chronicles 19:2).

Although His wheels move slowly, God always takes care of those nations and individuals who mess with Israel. Don’t believe me? Just ask Haman. Well, you can’t, but you can read about it in Esther 7. Then take a stroll down through the ages and see first hand what happens when you mess with that tiny country.

I was also disappointed Israel backed down on moving their ground forces into Gaza. You cannot talk terrorists down. The only way to stop terrorists is to kill them–not my words or thoughts, but I agree.

Look at the Egyptian President today. One day he helps broker a cease fire, the next he assumes dictatorial leadership. Once again Washington proves their ineptness!

Yes, I recall leading up to Morsi’s election at a campaign rally Egyptian Cleric Safwat Higazi says Morsi (AKA Mursi) Will Restore the “United States of the Arabs” (the Islamic Caliphate) with Jerusalem as Its Capital!

And as far as his power move today, though there were protests, it was exactly what he promised before his election.

In Islam, it is established fact that the ONLY time you agree to a ‘cease fire’ with your enemy, is for the expressed purpose of coming back stronger.

Had Israel finished this latest skirmish with Hamas with a ground incursion, this time they would have enjoyed the support of the masses. Since such support is very, very hard to come by when you’re a Jew, and even more so when you’re Israel, it it very suspicious to me that Netanyahu backed off. Hmmmm……

I am hoping that this valiant leader knows something I don’t, regarding the circumstances here, that makes his choice wiser than it appears.

Though it breaks my heart, Scripture is clear that when her time comes, Israel must go it alone. I suspect that it is only then, that she will cry out for her Redeemer, ‘…. and mourn for Him as one mourns for an only son…’ (Zech 12:10) And it is then that He will arise with healing in His wings on her behalf <3 GLORY!!

More and more as time goes on, I see our own beloved Nation on the pages of Holy writ, where I would least like to see her: Revelation 18. Read it…and weep.

By the way, for what it is worth – I just remembered that the name of the Israeli operation was ‘Pillar of Defense’ – in English. But, in the Hebrew it was translated as ‘Pillar of Cloud’, as in that which the Hebrew children followed by day during their wildreness wanderings.

Perhaps the ‘Cloud’ was perceived to have stopped, by Netanyahu???? Hmm…..

Don’t know much about these things but what is obvious is that there is an ongoing contest for supremacy between Shia and Sunni.

Seems to me that Iranian Shi’ites were arming and pushing Hamas at this particular time to distract Israel’s focus on Iran’s nuclear ambitions and bombing their facilities before they reach goal. Again Iran is using the Palestinians. Iran must be feeling compromised with their Shi’ite Syrian ally losing his grip, so have been pushing forward in earnest and are likely closer than we think to weapon grade…

On the other hand the Sunni Brotherhood Pres. of Egypt does not wish Iran to go nuclear or exert their muscle against Israel, giving them the advantage in the region. So for now it was to the Sunni advantage to court the Palestinians of Gaza with aid money to stop the Iranian Shi’ite led conflict. He apparently has convinced the Palestinians to wait upon his larger plan for the destruction of Israel and their revenge (and likely would like to see Israel bomb Iran’s facility)!
