Gettysburg_AddressToday is the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address where Abraham Lincoln delivered one his most famous speeches.

In his Second Inaugural Address he laid out for us the reasons for the war by stating; “Fondly do we hope–fervently do we pray–that this mighty scourge of war may speedily pass away. Yet, if God wills that it continue, until all the wealth piled by the bond-man’s two hundred and fifty years of unrequited toil shall be sunk, and until every drop of blood drawn with the lash, shall be paid by another drawn with the sword, as was said three thousand years ago, so still it must be said “the judgments of the Lord, are true and righteous altogether.” * (1)

Today, because of the assault by Marxists the nation is just as divided now as it was then, and it’s only a matter of time before violence could once again erupt between brother and brother – something I believe establishment Washington would welcome, and is actively promoting.

Some pundits compare Barak Obama to Abraham Lincoln which many have found to be laughable. Obama has imitated Lincoln in some respects such as announcing his campaign on the steps of the old capitol in Springfield, or taking his oath on Lincoln’s Bible. But it stops there.

Lincoln knew he had to lean on a much Higher Power during those dark days and was quoted as saying; “I have been driven many times upon my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had no where else to go. My own wisdom and that of all about me seemed insufficient for that day.”

His greatest concern “was always to be on God’s side, for God is always right.”gettysburg-from-prx

On the other hand, Obama is looking to eviscerate Christianity from the country while dismantling the Constitution, and has no need of anyone’s advice, save his own. Just ask him, he’ll tell you.

As a result, the nation is hemorrhaging because of his policies and all seems lost.

In many ways modern America resembles Israel in the book of Judges with our biggest sins being indifference to God, being influenced by the culture and complacency.

Yet, a window of hope has opened because on December 7 a Convention Of States is set to take place at Washington’s home in Mount Vernon. This is a lawful, Constitutional process under Article V, that our Founders left us. Something in line with scripture that calls for us to do things ‘decently and in order.’ (2)

I would ask you to get with your neighborhood groups, churches or those in your sphere and begin praying God would move on our behalf.

We are the “custodians of liberty” as Mark Levin puts it, and we have been warned “to whom much is given, much will be required.” (3)

I hope Christians seek God’s help in stopping the bleeding so “that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom — and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.” (4)

    There has been no greater thinker, strategist and God-fearing President than Lincoln. The imposter, Obama, can claim his likeness to the 16th President, but it is just another sign of his narcissism. We need to be on bended knee asking God what each of us can do for His kingdom and, most importantly, how our own lives must change to help lead the revolution for Christianity.
